Generating & modifying light to create appealing photos, requires a careful selection of equipments. Here is a list of my lighting gear.
Canon 580 EX II : I have 4 of these ETTL capable flashlights that I use in combination to light in studio or open environment.
Pocket Wizard TT5, TT1 and AC3 : Trigger remote off-camera flashes are best achieved with precision ETTL control with this combination of Pocket Wizard devices.

Yongnuo YN-560 Speedlight Flash : I have 3 of these cheap flashlights, which I use in manual mode to create background lighting in studio environment. Overexpose the white background with a full power burst, using two of them or add a tinge of background color with use of color gels. These are a cheap alternative to the expensive 580 EX II, and work well in situations not requiring ETTL.

MT-24EX Macro Twin Lite Ringlite Flash : This flashlight is designed specifically for Macro photography, when it is required to shoot a small subject, at a close distance to achieve 1:1 magnification. Though I must say, I have been using it very little as I am able to achieve the same desired lighting conditions through 580 EX II in a off-camera flash mode.
Apollo Softbox with Recessed Front (50″ x 50″) : A large softbox, which creates a good light fall for a full length portrait. I usually mount two Canon 580 EX II Speedlite inside it facing towards the back of the light modifier. Light bounces off the silver metalized back of the unit to produce a more uniform, softer light as it emerges from the diffusion panel.
Apollo Softbox with Recessed Front (28″ x 28″) : A medium softbox, that creates good light fall for half body portrait. I usually mount one Canon 580 EX II Speedlite inside it facing towards the back of the light modifier. Light bounces off the silver metalized back of the unit to produce a more uniform, softer light as it emerges from the diffusion panel.
LumiQuest Softbox LTP : A small sized softbox, easy to handhold. I use it to soften light on face shots in outdoor locations. It’s small size fits well in a laptop bag.
LumiQuest Promax Softbox III : A very small sized softbox. It was one of the first light boxes I had purchased and do not use it much now.
LumiQuest Snoot XTR : Helps target the light to a small area. I use it primarily for creative lighting of objects.

22 inch Beauty Dish with Diffuser & Flash Honeycomb Bracket : With one Canon 580 EX II mounted and the dish aimed at the face, creates circular catch lights in the eyes and a soft facial texture.
Honl Speed Grid : The honeycomb grid helps create a straight line light. I use it to create hair light studio model photography.
Honl Gobo Bounce Card : Helps create directional light. I use it to manage light spillover or reduce lens flare.

Color Gels : Honl and Lumiquest color gels to create color in light.
Lastolite TriGrip Silver & Sunlight Reflector : In outdoor and studio to manage light consistency.

Brinkmann Maxfire Dual Xenon Spotlight : This creates a powerful consistent spotlight, which can be used in outdoor night shoots to selectively light paint.

Ultra High Power 126 LED light : This LED device is not used to light the subject but only help overcome the darkness to be able to handle the equipment.
